FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
There are several rules aboard our vessel that we have implemented in order with comply with State and Federal regulations, and to ensure the safety of our guests. We operate under rules provided by the US Coast Guard and Dept. of Homeland Security.
* No weapons are permitted aboard. This is a violation of the Homeland Security regulations.
* No Food or Drink may be brought aboard. We are a fully-licensed restaurant with the State of Virginia. Do you expect to take food into the restaurant where you dine?
* Children under 6 not permitted on top deck. This is a safety issue, as children are not always supervised and we don't want your child falling down the steps or possibly slipping through the 8" gap under the sides of the boat railings.
* Bags and backpacks subject to search. We operate under Dept. of Homeland Security regulations. Bags are checked to ensure compliance with no-weapons regulations.
IS THE BOAT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?
Not really, however we make every attempt to accommodate wheelchairs on board. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate motorized chairs. There is also a 6-inch lip at the entrance to restroom, prohibiting wheelchair access.
IS THE BOAT HEATED OR AIR-CONDITIONED?
The lower deck can be enclosed and it is semi-heated. We do not have air conditioning, but there is usually a nice breeze on most summer days.
DOES THE VESSEL DEPART RAIN OR SHINE?
Usually, although in the event of severe weather cruises may be canceled or cruises already underway may return to the dock.
CAN I BRING FOOD OR DRINK ABOARD?
No. We have a full-service snack bar aboard, licensed in the State of Virginia as a restaurant. (Private charter groups may bring their own food, not drinks).
DO I NEED RESERVATIONS?
Reservations are highly recommended, especially during the summer months. There is no obligation, just give us a call and we'll put your name on the list.
IS PAYMENT REQUIRED AT TIME OF RESERVATION?
No. You pay at the Hampton Maritime Center on day of cruise. (Groups must pay a deposit within 15 days of reservation. Balance due on day of trip).
ARE CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED?
Yes. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and cash. Personal checks are not accepted.
WHERE DO WE PARK?
Parking is normally available dockside in the Hampton Marina Hotel Parking Garage for a nominal fee. (During special events this garage may be full). Free parking is available in nearby parking lots or street side (on weekends).
WILL I GET SEASICK?
Not likely. On occasions when the bay is choppy it can get a little rough, though. Our ticket agents will advise you prior to purchasing your ticket if the seas are rough. If you have a tendency to get seasick easily, some type of medication would be advisable. Dramamine is available for sale both in our office and on the boat.
